Fun weekend recap.

I didn't write yesterday -- for the first time since my sisters have been gone.

Anyway, our visitors were still here yesterday and I got into my chair. I tried to get a good game of Alias SpyGames going, but everyone wasn't keen on playing. I tried futilely to get people interested in 500. I love the game so much, but probably won't get to play it for a long time. I swear I would pay people to play that game with me. Stupid four player games.

I got really cold inside the house (chilly air conditioner) so I went outside to get some sun for a while. It was pretty hot, like 90°. I fell asleep. I got a little bit pink roasting in the sun for the 30 minutes I was out. When I came back in the house I must have looked very dreadful because everyone was telling me I looked like I was going to die or something. They said my face was bright red and I was blotchy. I felt fine, though. The redness and blotchiness faded away.

I went to my friend Sena's wedding reception with Cecilia and Chris, and my parents. It was pretty cool. She looked absolutely amazing in her fairy tale-like wedding dress. I also got to meet her parents and her sister which was also a special treat. They had these nice little croissant tuna fish sandwich things with what tasted a lot like orange peels in it. It was OK, though. They also had some very delicious chocolate dipped strawberries. Yum. Anyway, I'm very happy for her and Aaron (her husband). I can't tell you how excited I am for their new life together. *dreamily smiles*

Afterwards, I invited Cecilia, Barbie and Chris to come over to my house and spend the night. They all came over and we watched Wild at Heart with the commentary. After that, Cecilia was crashing, the tired little girl. So she went upstairs to sleep. I think Chris hung around and we watched some of the featurettes. After that, he went to bed and Barbie and I played on the computer for a little bit -- we first looked at the Doyle video, which I can't seem to tackle, and then we tried to download the eighth episode of Angel from the Internet somewhere. I finally got the entire thing downloaded this afternoon. After that, we sort of watched MTV/VH1/FUSE (formerly much music) and talked about music. It is amazing how much music we have in common with each other. After we got bored of that we went to bed.

This morning, I woke up with a bad sore throat. Those are pretty yucky. So I drank some hot soup to try and combat it. After getting dressed, I got into my chair and printed out my talk for church. I was really nervous about being late because I HATE being late and thought it would be pretty embarrassing to be late. So I was pretty anxious about that. We left at around 12:10, when I had anticipated leaving at about 11:45. However, we did arrive seven minutes early and had enough time to get me up on the stand, and set up microphone for me and everything. I thought the talk went pretty well. Everyone (including Barbie, Cecilia, and Chris who came to see me speak) told me that I did a really great job, and one person even said that it was an absolute treat hearing me speak. But my mom said that the people at church were just really nice.

I played rummy with my sisters after church, and I won the first round, but I got second-place and last-place in the next two rounds. Dinner was really yummy, but it made me realize how much I really miss Kristine. She has been gone way too long! At least she gets back on Wednesday. I don't know if I can wait any longer. For real.

We did get our mail and it was pretty cool because I got three belated birthday cards: one from Eric, one from Dana (e7), and one from Uncle Dave and Aunt Joyce (with money inside, even). I was pretty happy about that.

I'm thinking about doing something interesting in my LJ layout. Maybe a new background or something. Hmmm. I don't know. I kind of like the way it looks, but I'm not sure.

Big surprise, a poll:

In a fighting match, who would win?
