California bear

Research paper, Smallville site, room addition and other stuff.

Well, I have some good news. On Sunday, I finally finished my research paper on mass media and the environment. You can read it here, if you want. I did take some of your comments as sources, and I may have embellished slightly to emphasize my point. Anyway, toward the end I got kind of tired, and in that "please let us just get this over with" mood, so I think my conclusion suffered a little bit from that. I also didn't read over it once again because I was so tired. I finished Sunday night at about 11:45 p.m. after working on it for about 4-5 hours straight. If I had more time, I could have made it a little better, but I'm pretty happy with what I have. Anyway, it is in HTML format so you don't have to worry about saving it to your hard drive as Microsoft Word document or anything like that.

I had a fantastically horrible night last night where I was just SO tired, but couldn't get to sleep. First, it was because of the constant nonstop coughing. After the coughing finally settled down, I just couldn't get to sleep. One time, I was almost asleep, then my poor little brother came downstairs and walked past my room which woke me up a little bit, and then he started the barfing in the bathroom right next to my room. The poor guy. Anyway, I finally got to sleep around 5:30 a.m. and I slept until 10:30 AM. I was planning on going to the midnight showing of Return of the King tonight, but I had to cancel because I am just not feeling good enough. The good news, though, is that I've found my positive attitude again. Even though it sort of feels like I might die from coughing, I feel pretty good about getting better much sooner.

When I woke up this morning my network connection was disconnected because of the room construction. I had to send my other brother to the store so he could buy me a network cable. While I was disconnected, I updated my Smallville site with some Lord of the Rings/Smallville photo manipulations. I think they're pretty cool. My favorites are Lexolas and Chloedriel. Once I got reconnected, I uploaded those.

Also, for the curious, I have the plans for my new room addition below.

The top part is my current room which is separated from the new part by the dotted line thingy. The big black parts are windows, and the big rectangle in the upper half is the approximate size of my bed.

On Saturday, they started out with Collapse ) and ended up with Collapse )

As you can see, they did quite a bit of work in one day. I also managed to get the missionaries from my church to dance for me which was very fun. They did some New Kids on the Block moves, and I did get it on film. I will probably post that some day. I would post it today except for my computer is sort of not hooked up all the way with the capture device.

I also watched Joan of Arcadia on Sunday. That is such a good show. Adam + Joan forever! I also liked the goth boy which shouldn't come as a huge surprise. I have no idea why I am drawn to the multiple piercings or black makeup. I think it's the black makeup. Possibly, also, the hair. In real life, I would never ever go out with someone like that, but they are interesting people to look at and wonder about.
