Christmas!

Well, I'm back. I'm happy to say that I have my computer hooked up, and it feels good to be using it again. My dad unhooked my computer Christmas Eve so he could transplant my hard drives to my new computer, but computer switchovers have so many problems. I think that computer use is the key to my happiness and sanity. I was going crazy without it. {Hugs computer}

Christmas was good. I got a lot of stuff, but, more importantly, everyone enjoyed the presents that I got them. Among my Christmas goodies were: Return of the Jedi lunchbox from Cecilia, $25 gift card to Best Buy from Dawn, really soft blanket from Kevin and Jennifer, Bubbles Powerpuff Girl pillow from Katelynne, Good Charlotte CD from Kristine, Newsies DVD and Lord of the Rings 2004 calendar from KeriAnn, $100 from Grandparents, The Two Towers Soundtrack from Trav, and a bunch of stuff from Santa/parents: DVD holder tower, Morrowind Xbox game, new computer, socks, leopard neck massager wrap, and other stuff I can't recall right now.

I was also very happy to get cards from juliedarling and theanalogkid. Thanks guys! I sent out my cards on the day before Christmas, because that's how good I am. So many of you will probably (if you haven't already) receive a card from me. So, if you get a card in the mail and it looks like someone with first-grade handwriting signed it, it's from me. I decided to mouth sign my cards for that added personal touch. I have very bad mouth writing because I hardly ever do that kind of thing.

Whoops. Just remembered that I haven't sent out my gifts for Trav (even though I bought it like an eternity ago), and sistakgirl. I will send them on Monday.

On Christmas day it was a very, very rainy day. It was pouring like cats and dogs out there. Plus, it was really cold. Really cold being like, I don't know, 40°, or something like that. But, yeah, COLD! We wanted to see Peter Pan Christmas Day, but we did not want to go out into the cold, rainy outside. We attempted to see it the next day, but it was sold out, so we saw it yesterday. It was very good. Plus, my sister Kristine is going to marry Jeremy Sumpter (the kid who plays Peter Pan).

On Christmas morning we opened our presents at like 2:30 AM. That seems pretty early, no? I got into the wheelchair at midnight Christmas Eve, so that was pretty cool. I managed to spend an entire 24 hours in the chair, which is a record. Except, on Friday I got into my chair at 4:30 p.m., and didn't get back into it until 7:50 p.m. the next day. So, that's my new record. 27 hours and 20 minutes. It's probably not a good idea for me to stay in that long. I usually have really good circulation, so my legs don't normally swell at all, but staying out for so much makes them swell. So I'm trying to take it easy until the swelling goes down. Sorry if that's TMI or something.

Anyway, part of the reason I was staying out of bed so long, was because my computer wasn't working, so not only does that deprive me of the Internet, but also my television because I have the sound going through my computer sound card. My room is also in the middle of construction, so that's not cool, either. Hopefully, this construction business is over with soon.

ETA: What is up with LJ? It keeps logging me out, even though I choose "never", and every time I try to update the Journal, I have do that because the date is set to February 2004. What is up with that?
