This week has been pretty hectic.

Tuesday: I had to get my room ready to be painted, so I spent a lot of the day having stuff taken out of my room. Then I had school where I got my first paper (the poems paper) back. I got a 3.9/4.0 -- which is the highest grade I have ever received from this teacher. I was sort of scared that I wouldn't get a good grade because my teacher was going on about this paper that was "excellent" and it contained all sorts of things that my paper didn't. I should know that if I follow instructions, I'm going to get a good grade. My mom and I celebrated by getting burrito supremes and enchiritos from Taco Bell.

When I got home, we had to watch Gilmore Girls -- so good!

Wednesday: I spent most of the morning working on various projects for school and church. I didn't really get that far. I had to evacuate my room by 5:00 p.m. because I had people coming over to paint it. They came, they painted, and it looks pretty good. I wish they would have been a little bit more careful, though, honestly. They dripped paint on my rug, on my tile, and they didn't rinse off some of their tools. I feel really bad about nitpicking, because they did do it just to be nice, but I'm sad that they weren't a little more careful. There are some areas that need a little more help, but my room looks nice and pink. Actually, the shade is more white than pink, so it's not like, "Ack! Pink!"

After they painted my friend Dave took me to this ice cream social for my church. It was a someone's house, so that is always a little bit anxiety-causing, because I don't know what kind of steps they will have going up to their house, if I will be able to go where everyone else is, or if I will just be set apart like some freak or something. Anyway, the step was OK, and I visited with some people and ate ice cream, I also had some Mother Lode Cake that my friend Catherine brought.

After we got home, we had to watch Smallville and Lost. After we watched that, I watched another episode of Farscape with my friend Dave. I don't think I got to bed before 1:30 a.m.

Thursday: I was planning on going to school, but we couldn't figure out the driving situation. Also, I forgot to mention this, but I tried on Tuesday to get an appointment for this day to take my history midterm at the disabled student programs and services office, but the lady there is really mean. She never helps you, and she tries to make things as complicated as humanly possible. Setting up a simple test is a gigantic ordeal, and she was crotchety and mean. I felt like yelling at her, but instead I wrote a mean letter about her to the dean. I feel quite satisfied.

My brother had a football game at 3:00 p.m., so I went with my mom to watch him play. I wore some sunblock, which was good because I think I would have been burned otherwise. After the game, my dad and I took off to go watch my sister sing at a choir concert. We thought it started at six, but it didn't start until seven, so we waited in front of the Church where it took place for about 45 minutes. Anyway, she did a great job and her choir sounded excellent.

After the concert, my mom, dad, sister and I went to Denny's for a celebratory dinner. I had some type of sourdough chicken sandwich with bacon that was quite tasty. I also had some yummy onion rings. We got home at around 11:00 p.m., but we still had to watch Joey, which was funny.

Friday: I had a lot of things to do, and I tried really hard to get everything done. I did get a verification form sent to Cal State San Marcos (where I have applied) for financial aid. I also got my van's registration taken care of. I forgot to mention this, but on Thursday when my dad was taking me to my sister's concert we got pulled over by the police. My van's registration is about 10 months expired, but the cop cut us a break. Probably, mostly because he saw me sitting in the back of the van all wheelchair-ized and stuff. So, I sent in the $94.

I think I also watched CSI: NY, and One Tree Hill sometime during the day. After my helper left, I played Scrabble with my mom (and won) but it wasn't a margoton victory. Margoton is a new made-up word that means "large, big, or heavy." After my sister came back from part two of her concert for Friday night, we watched Joan of Arcadia, and this week's Jeopardy! episodes. Ken Jennings is so the man. The first day he almost lost to this one guy, and that was so scary. I'm probably going to be a total mess when he finally loses. That is going to be a very depressing day.

Today: I spent most of my time working on The Buffinator Awards, which should have been posted a week ago, but I just haven't had the time. I also checked out Gmail, but I don't like it that much. From an accessibility-minded point of view, it's just not that great. I have to do everything the long way, and that is complete pain in the butt.

My sister took the SAT IIs this morning, and after the test she brought some of that new 7-Up home to try. I should say that is that it is really not that good. It sort of tastes like carbonated medicine.

My other sister just got home from the mall and is showing me all of her purchases. I better go.
