I went to my first physical therapy session last Friday, and my second one today. I'm really trying to work on my neck flexibility. I really can't turn my head very far at all. So I'm working with professionals, now. I figure I will do it as much as I can (actually going to physical therapy) until I run out of money to do so. $15 co-pay every single time. And I'm going twice a week. I don't even want to do that math.
I finally turned in the three Netflix I had rented back in November. Isn't that fantastic?! I have been paying close to $20 a month for the past four months for three DVDs that I didn't even watch. I'm so awesome. You should name your kids after me.
I went with my sister Kellie to see Miss Congeniality 2 on Saturday. We drove all the way to Ontario (the city) which was 45 minutes away because we wanted to go to the IMAX, but because of some faulty MapQuest directions (faulty on the part of the person who MapQuested) we ended up at the Ontario Civic Center. We asked a cop, or person dressed up like a cop, where the theater was, and he pointed us in the direction of a theater, but not the one we wanted to go to. So, we got there at 5:30, bought tickets for the seven o'clock show, ate Chinese food, attempted to eat cold stone creamery ice cream, watched the movie and got out of there. We also managed to hit the Best Buy in Corona on the way home to buy The Killers CD -- just in time.
My other sister KeriAnn is really sick and in the hospital. No one knows what's wrong with her, and we are all really concerned. They think it might have been an allergic reaction to a drug they were giving her for something else, but no one knows for sure. She had some tests done, and even a horrible spinal tap, but nothing has come back yet. Hopefully, she gets better. And soon. The poor girl. She's missing school, and she has had eight months of perfect attendance. I can't imagine how horrible she must feel about that.
I also read The Giver by Lois Lowry this past week. Really liked it. I also found out that it is being made into a movie.
Speaking of movies, what is up with Russell Crowe movies where the trailers have music from the miniseries Children of Dune? First there was Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, and now The Cinderella Man. Coincidence? I don't know, but I intend to find out. I even e-mailed the composer (Brian Tyler) about it.
While mindlessly meandering the Internet today, I stumbled across this site, where you can play dress-up with your favorite celebrities. Really cool.
I also got a new assignment from church on Sunday, where I am the new newsletter coordinator. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I'm excited to find out.
