Memorial Day

I went to Memorial Day barbecue yesterday that my church throws every year. It was pretty sweet. Also, I got to hang out with this girl from church named Alyse, and she is so adorable and nice as to defy description. She's coming over tomorrow night to play Risk with me. That should be exciting and fun.

At the end part of the barbecue, we got to listen to an inspirational speaker who was a Vietnam veteran who used to fly helicopters. It was a pretty emotional night. He broke up a couple of times when speaking about how people back in the United States felt such negative feelings toward soldiers, and would even go so far as to spit on them. I'm not even going to say how many levels that is messed up on.

I have been listening to Stadium Arcadium pretty much nonstop for the past couple of days. Has so much goodness, y'all.

I'm excited about my birthday party coming up on Saturday. That should be excellent! Speaking of birthdays, today is my brother's. He turns 23. I will be turning 26. I think that 26 sounds sophisticated, but still young, so I am stoked about being 26. It sounds like a good age. I think good things are gonna happen with 26.
