Disneyland!

Yesterday, I got to go to Disneyland! My sister Katelynne and her marching band got to perform in the parade, so we (my mom and brother Kevin) went to see her. Also, we got in for free, because my friend Kim's dad works there, and he gave us the hookups. Bonus!

First, we ate at Bengal Barbecue (so expensive). I had bacon wrapped asparagus on a skewer plus a jalapeno cheese pretzel. I thought it tasted pretty good. Then, I got Kevin and my mom up to the front of the Indiana Jones ride. Kevin said that it was funny to ride with my mom, because she was screaming the entire time. Then, we went to tomorrowland where I got to ride on the Buzz Lightyear ride, which was okay. Then, we went to see Honey I Shrunk the Audience. It was a pretty good show, and the floor shakes and makes you feel like you are really shrunk because it vibrates the wheelchair. Very cool.

After that, we decided to get a good spot for the parade. We waited for a good 18 minutes to be able to see my sister and were even planning on waiting 12 minutes longer, but her band performed early. They played "Angels We Have Heard on High," and we saw her marching along. We decided to watch the rest of the parade, which was pretty cool. We got to see the new float Enchanted with Princess Gisele, and that was cool. Every float was holiday themed, and it was nice to sit back and watch people dancing or marching dressed up in crazy costumes. Also, when the Santa Claus float came by, Santa totally looked me in the eye and told me to believe in the power of holiday magic.

After the parade, we went in search of good grub. Since we found none, we went on the pirate ride. Well, Mom and Kevin did. I just waited for them. Then, we got a good spot to watch the fireworks, which were totally choreographed to go with the Christmas music playing. It was awesome. I really liked the smiley face fireworks. Then, we were stuck in a giant mass of people trying to get out of the park because it was closing time.

We decided to go to California Adventure, mainly to eat something. We ate at a Mexican restaurant, where I had a fabulous beef burrito. Of course, it was way overpriced, but it was so delicious that it was almost worth the money. Then, we lost Kevin for a little bit. Mom and I toured the tortilla factory, where we got some free tortillas which were very yummy.

We found Kevin and went to see The Bug's Life 3-D show, which was surprisingly good. I really liked the black widows which hung from the ceiling all scary and alien-ish. We headed over to the Hollywood section of the park where we saw The Muppet Show in 3-D starring Kermit the frog. I really liked the parts I stayed awake for. I was really tired, though. Then, we rode the tram to the parking structure and went home. Overall, a very good day. Especially the part where we got $91 tickets for free. :-)
