So, substitute teaching has been going well. I wish I could say more about my experience, but since I intend to post this entry publicly, I have to somewhat limit what I can say. I'll suffice it to say that most classes are doing alright.

My supervisor observed me on Wednesday and had a lot of constructive criticism, and not a lot of anything else. It seemed like I did everything wrong. Today, I tried to use her advice, but it didn't work as well as I thought it would. The only thing that motivated one of my classes was bribing them with candy. I think some of those kids are going to have Saturday schools assigned to them.

I'm pretty tired as well. On Wednesday morning, I woke up around 3 a.m. in order to get my lesson plans all completed for that day. Last night I didn't get to sleep until almost 10:30 p.m. Also, I think I have sleep spastica. My legs seem to go crazy with the kicking at night which wakes me up, but not enough to where I remember it, and then I go back to sleep right away. Anyhow, because I'm not getting quality sleep, it's like I'm not even sleeping at all.

In other bad news, my ex sister-in-law Jennifer died yesterday. The official diagnosis was kidney failure (I think). But it was due to an accidental pain medication overdose. My brother (her ex-husband) is very sad about this. They were still friends and very close. She had cystic fibrosis. I believe she holds the record for having had the most surgeries for that disease of anyone her age. She was a good, sweet girl. I'm sad that she's gone, but I'm glad she's not suffering anymore. She was such a trooper.

Well, that's all that's really going on.
