I have been published!

One of my New Year's resolutions is to have something of mine published, so around May I decided to do something about it. I submitted one of my stories to an online literary magazine called Perigee, which happens to be one of the top 50 online magazines in the world. I totally expected to be rejected, but, happily, my story was accepted. (I realize that that sentence was really rhymy, but it was unintentional and I'm leaving it.)

So, you can read my nonfiction story here. It is the top story on the left-hand side of the page.

Ridiculosity unveiled
geek, Luke

I'm going to post a video that is super ridiculous and awesome in every imaginable way. And if that gets your expectations a little too high, then so be it. This video demands your attention.

First of all, the song is called "Vienna Calling," and has the perfect little combination of English and German lyrics. And if that wasn't awesome enough, it's also (proudly and flamingly) from the 1980s. The song, in itself, is ridiculous enough, but the video cashes in on the utter ridiculosity in the best possible way. It's clear, from watching, that Falco doesn't just think that he is the most awesome creature that God ever invented -- he knows it.
