I love electricity!

The power was out the entire day at my house! It made me very sad, and also very grateful for electricity. My life is almost completely dependent on it, sadly.

When I was younger, I thought it would be really fun to have a farm and really live off of the land, but of course, this was back when I still thought camping was fun. I hate to admit it, but a small part of me really thinks that hiking the Appalachian Trail would be fun to do. I know it's ridiculous; who in their right mind would want to walk over 2000 miles for the fun of it? (Side note: I'm reading on Wikipedia the hazards of the Appalachian Trail. They include: severe weather, American black bear, tick borne diseases, mosquitoes, biting flies, chiggers (what is that?), steep grades, limited water, diarrhea from water, poison ivy, and venomous snakes.) I don't know what it is, but maybe the appeal of actually being able to walk outweighs the obvious nightmare that hiking the Appalachian Trail would be.

Anyhow, we had a good day today, even if we didn't have power. We went and got brunch at Burger King, and then we spent some time at Target, and then we got some frozen yogurt. I actually didn't eat any frozen yogurt because I'm doing the sugar-free thing right now, but I had some fresh fruit with almonds and pecans. It was surprisingly very delicious.

I hope we never run out of electricity again.
