new year...

Happy new year!

I get to go to the dermatologist 1/4/10. I have these weird looking moles on my arm. It will just ease my mind to know they're not cancerous or if they are, I can get them taken care of. If they have to burn my moles off or cut them off, I won't be able to feel it, so that's a bonus.

I'm doing lots of work for church in the next couple of weeks. I'm excited for it, because it makes me happy to have things to do, and then to get them done.

So far, I haven't gotten above 60% for my daily New Year's resolutions, and I got the lowest ever on Sunday (54%). That's all right, because it means I have plenty of room to grow, but I think I'm feeling a little bit sad that I'm not doing better than that. Monday will be better. I will get those resolutions and goals in check!

We got to talk on the phone with my brother Kurtis on New Year's Day. He is doing alright, but he has a cold and is kind of sick from all of the immunizations that you have to take when you go to basic training. He got all of our letters, so that's good. We wrote some more yesterday night, and we are sending them out one at a time to spread them out over the week rather than him just getting a whole pile at once.

I went to the dermatologist today, and it looks like my moles are most likely noncancerous, so that's good. I had some skin tags on my face burnt off while I was there, though -- 1 off of my eyelid and another on my cheek. The eyelid one hurt quite a bit, but the other one didn't hurt at all.

I'm looking to go to AVATAR tomorrow morning, but I'm not sure if it's worth it to see it IMAX style, or to just go with regular 3-D; any recommendations? Is IMAX worth it?
