interesting link + Disneyland
California bear
I've recently become addicted to this site -- called ted.com -- which lets you view interesting, fascinating and informative talks from different people around the world. The first talk I watched was Rebecca Saxe's How we read each other's minds, which was really intriguing. And then I just kept watching more and more talks. I think it's a great resource for me, because I don't really watch a lot of TV(and what I mean by this is live TV; I watch plenty of prerecorded TV), and if I had time just to kill and watch TV, I'd really like to watch the Discovery Channels, and this site is like a portal to knowledge like you would get if you were watching Discovery.

Anyhow, that's my recommendation for today.

Yesterday, my mom and I dropped off Cecilia at the Long Beach Airport, and then we got to go to Disneyland where we ate bread bowls. We didn't do anything else besides that, though. We parked in Downtown Disney, and then we tried to take the monorail to the park, but it was full, and then we would have had to wait for 30 minutes. We probably would have stayed longer, but my mom was really cold, not having brought a jacket or worn actual shoes (she was wearing flip-flops).

The bread bowls at Disneyland are extraordinarily delicious. We had the vegetarian gumbo and the clam chowder. My mouth is watering just recalling how good they were.

I'm trying to be better about my goals, and I think I am doing a good job at keeping a nice forward momentum. Yesterday I scored really low, but today I think I'm going to do much better.
